About the Author Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. Sometimes life throws shit at you, and you have no way of knowing how to cope. Well this book came to me in the middle of a shitstorm. I struggled to read this book, not because the writing, or the story (totally amazing).Its just my mental focus has been off, because I've been off. I finally finished this book and I am glad I did. I loved Penny, and Bodie. Penny is the badass bitch we all want to be, and the badass bitch all the guys want to fuck. Penny is cool, confident, and a loof. Keeping men at arms length kept Penny in control. That all changed when sexy as sin Bodie walked into her ice cream parlor.
I love how Bodie ninja-ed his way into Penny's heart. He gave her a taste of her own medicine and she fell hook line and sinker for his tricks. But who wouldn't with a magic dick?
The thing I love most about Staci Hart's is they're relateable. You can picture yourself having the same problems, and insecurities that her character have. The way Staci writes is as if your catching up with an old friend. You know these people, and they know you. You live in their world, and experience their pain.
I've always loved Staci's writing and she always knows how to pull me out of my funk. I can't wait for more!
